In 2014, an interagency group consisting of local people, the HSE, LMETB and an Garda Siochana organised a needs assessment of over 170 local people, outlining the key issues in the Ardee area. They determined that the largest issue facing the people of Ardee was the lack of a community space within the town, particularly a space for young people.
Dee Hub was founded with the goal of addressing the needs of the young, disadvantaged and elderly people of Ardee and the surrounding area by providing them with a space to access information, join groups and clubs, attend classes and meet other people.
Our doors opened in September of 2017, and since then we have grown to offer a wide range of services including LMETB courses, the Mid Louth Youth Service, the Parent and Toddler group and many more! We hope to continue providing the support and services to our local community for many years to come!
