On Friday 25th August Dee Hub held it’s inaugural Golf classic Fundraiser at Ardee Golf Club. The Hub is a not for profit initiative bringing youth and community resource services to the locality and in order to keep the doors open relies heavily on fundraising activities and the generosity of the community in order to carry out much needed projects to the benefit of the Youth and Adults within the community.
Master of Ceremonies was Mr. John Kieran, one of the event organisers and Trustee of Dee Hub along with Mr. Johnny McGoey and our wonderful volunteers who all helped to organise and managed the event.
With thirty teams taking part in this inaugural event, it was a testament to the belief and community support that is behind this initiative and we cannot thank the local businesses and community enough for helping to make it the success it was. From our main Sponsor – PJ Callan Ltd and to all of the businesses and individuals who sponsored Raffle prizes, Tees and Greens our sincere thanks – local people coming together day after day to give to worthy causes and help build this wonderful community we live in.
Chairman of the Dee Hub Trustees Mr. Michael McCoy thanked everyone for taking part and spoke of the work
done by the Hub and the exciting news about the New Programme due to begin in the Autumn funded by the International Fund for Ireland
Our thanks also to Ardee Golf Club and it’s members for hosting the event and to the staff who looked after everyone so well on the day.
Mr. John Callan of PJ Callan Ltd presented the prizes to all the winners in the Event.

Once again thanks to everyone who took part, bought raffle tickets , provided prizes or sponsored tees or greens for the event. The fundraiser was a huge success and will enable the Hub to continue the good works we have achieved in a short period of time but to also expand those services and help bring education, creativity, social supports and much more to this great community we are part of.
