DeeHub Nominated for Pride of Place Awards 2017

We are delighted and humbled to have been nominated by Louth County Council for the Pride of Place National Awards competition 2017. Louth has a strong history of success in the Awards with Carlingford taking the runner up position in 2015 and winning the ‘ Islands and Coastal Communities award’ in 2016.

On Wednesday August 16th Judges from the Pride of Place adjudicating Team will visit the DeeHub.

During the visit, the Judges will be given a  mandatory formal presentation (20 minutes) at the beginning of the visit, followed by ten minutes question and answers session.

An all-Island competition organized by Co-operation Ireland

  • The aim of the competition is to acknowledge and recognize community spirit within Town.
  • The demonstration of co-operation between all groups and organizations in the area is very important.
  • Evidence of inclusion of the youth, people with disabilities, minorities and the elderly is very important.
  • Active involvement with local agencies, local council and local business is also beneficial.
