DeeHub to receive Funding for New Initiative

We are delighted to announce that the DeeHub through the hard work of our Trustees, Volunteers & Steering Group has secured funding from the International Fund for Ireland for a new key programme starting in Autumn 2017.  The new ‘Leaf Programme’  which is a Personal Youth Development Programme will provide opportunities to build resilience and self-confidence and improve education and employment prospects.

The Programme is a 12-month initiative that will engage with 12 early school leavers and young people aged 16-24 from the mid-Louth region of Ardee, Dunleer and Tallanstown.

The Programme complements the DeeHub mission to ‘provide programmes and services to address the needs of all young people, adults and families in the area, particularly those at risk of disadvantage and social exclusion, and support them to live empowering lives.’

The programme will provide mentoring, good relations and personal development training and identify personalised skills training opportunities.

We are extremely thankful for the hard work that was put in to the application and also to the Board of the International Fund for Ireland for helping us to realise our vision and bring this much needed programme to the locality for the benefit of the community, the funding amount secured is €70,400.

Further details on the programme will follow in due course.
